Baby Car Seats (Child Safety Seats) come in three basic types: Infant (Baby only), Convertible (Infant-Toddler) and Booster.
Infant - Infant car seats are designed only for babies and should be installed with your baby facing the rear of the car. These car seats typically have a weight limit of 25 lbs. to 35 lbs. When your baby reaches the weight limit it is time to move up to a convertible car seat.
Convertible - Convertible car seats can be used for both infants and toddlers. They should be installed rear facing for infants and can then be turned forward for toddlers. Always read your specific seat's instructions for the appropriate time to switch the seat forward. This is typically based on the age and/or weight of your child.
Booster - Booster seats are designed for children 4 years and older and at least 40lbs in weight. Your child should sit in a booster seat until they are tall enough and weigh enough that your car's seat belts fit them properly.
We offer baby car seats from Graco, Britax and RECARO.
